Saudi Arabia greenlights clear skies for Israel…

…interesting. I would not have the Kingdom would have given the green light for this. I understand the dynamic (Iran is not Arab, it’s a Persian country). Saudi probably doesn’t want a nuclear Iran any more than we do…all the same, I think giving Israel a green light is…interesting.

UPDATE: It’s more accurate to say I find the Saudi Arabian’s agreeing to the green light interesting.

“So far, the Obama Administration has refused to give its approval…”

Any insights Rob? I couldn’t find much. To me the circumstances with Israel are very alarming.

  6. I don’t think this will “cost us” anything, at least not in ways that I can see on a secular level. Iran is no friend of Saudi Arabia. Many years ago, when I was assigned to mission involving air defense in that region, Iran damaged several SA ships in the Gulf with missiles. They have repeatedly threatened to close the Straight of Hormuz, which would cripple SA’s economy.

Iraq is not a threat at this time. Iran still is. and ruled by an idiot.
