…while harassing a police officer is never a good idea, it’s dangerous to make doing so a felony. What constitutes harassment? Bookmark on DeliciousDigg this postRecommend on Facebookshare via RedditShare with StumblersTweet about itSubscribe to the comments on this post
Good article on the Supreme Court’s recent ruling that strip searches of inmates are consitutional. Two zingers in the piece; first, the statement that the case may have been decided on the premise that it’s too disruptive to the criminal justice system to rule any other way. Second, the question at the end, “Is this […]
Well that effectively ends the Constitutional argument as it pertains to this case. Bookmark on DeliciousDigg this postRecommend on Facebookshare via RedditShare with StumblersTweet about itSubscribe to the comments on this post
I’m no lawyer (though I hope to be some day), but I agree with the Instapundit. The ruling that the defendant must provide the password to her laptop is wrong. It seems to me she’s being compelled to provide evidence against herself, a violation of the fifth amendment. Bookmark on DeliciousDigg this postRecommend on […]

I concur. Further, I think this thing is far from over. I don’t actually believe our country will recover from this, from the rule of law to the social fabric…both have been shattered. Though some (Barney Frank) are objecting to this on the basis that the Supreme Court is the ultimate check on legislative power, I think it’s a fantastic idea. It would put each legislator on the record as having backed a bill according to a provision of the founding document. In other words, it would limit […]
…no, the US dropped the ball – refusing the Swiss request for additional information. To defenders of this “artist,” no amount of film making can atone for his actions. He fled the country after pleading guilty; afraid to face the consequences of his action. Good riddance. Bookmark on DeliciousDigg this postRecommend on Facebookshare via RedditShare […]
