...nice. I enjoy seeing incumbents unseated.
CORRECTION: He's not unseating the incumbent but did beat out a
previous Mayor. Almost the same thing.

Probably. That's one of two logical
conclusions for her behavior (the other being an extreme sense of
entitlement, and possibly delusion, prompt her and Bill Clinton to
continue).

Michael Crowley writes on the Clinton's
siege mentality, and why they just can't let
go of what's turning into an impossible dream - no matter who
suffers.

...sorry about the light posting over the
weekend. Saturday was a very long day at work and I ended up
delivering flowers yesterday (a side job that actually pays pretty
good). Anyway...more to follow!

...somebody arrived on CombatEffective
today via Ask.com with the following question "Why the Death
Penalty is a Good Thing".
Here's the search string. CombatEffective's on the first page
of results. :-)
UPDATE: I actually titled a post that way...heh. That explains that.

If the UN were worth their salt, they
would send in an American led force and depose the current gov't.
They'd then distribute the aid.

...of money. This 'royal couple' has
received $1.5M for an interview in Hello magazine. Because he's 11th in line to
the throne.
CORRECTION: At today's exchange rate, the obscene amount of money
would be $1M. Thank you. That is all.

...okay, he didn't quite say it that way
but this is shameless opportunism at work. Funny, when the
Administration highlights the real threat of Islamic terrorism,
they are called fearmongers. When Algore says that 60,000 died from
a cyclone brought about by a global warming theology still disputed
today (except at the UN), the response...rising algore, inc. stock
prices.

TheAgitator (aka Radley Balko) has a post
up on a particularly outrageous drug raid. So outrageous, that I'm
going to recommend donating to a fund set up to help with his
medical bills and defense fund. Read through the thread and if feel
so compelled, donate a couple dollars to help.

When I was in Zanzibar with the
CombatWife, we had a similar experience with the Muslims there. I
asked a man we'd come to know (after a couple of days) what he
thought about the conflict in Iraq, bin Laden, and Islam vs. the
West. He looked at me and said, "Shi'ite, Sunni, we don't care.
We are just Muslim." He went on to say that they had more problems
than difference in theology dating back centuries.
Later that trip and coincidentally on September 11, 2006, an
African named "beenie" sold us some music CDs on the street. When I
asked him if "beenie" was an African name, he said that "No, it was
a nickname" and short for 'bin', as in "bin Laden". When I joked
he should be careful about mentioning bin Laden to an American on
September 11th, he showed confusion for a moment then made the
association...I felt immediately bad because he looked stricken and
began to say, "no...no...no....I don't like bin Laden, he is
evil...not like him at all"...he about fell over himself trying to
disassociate himself from bin Laden. I stopped him and apologized
(and bought the CDs).
I must be in a rambling mood today. Anyway, here's the link.
