...I don't envy the thin line Senator
Obama must have to walk. He must not alienate Clinton, yet she
has so much baggage he cannot name her as VP, so he has to include
her but not too much - or risk losing the independents and
anti-Clinton crowd.
That's just one person.

However, he is 100 million dollars richer for his global warming
efforts.

CBS has a quick blurb about Elian Gonzalez. He's joined the Communist Youth
Union in Cuba. Just so you know, Janet Reno.

...Mr. Jacoby 's conclusion is that we do nothing because
Mugabe is a black despot, not white. I think that may factor into
it but it is not the only reason. I think we do nothing because of
cultural relativism, UN corruption, and Zimbabwe's location
(Africa).

Or rather, the numerous shots we keep
seeing of the two together in his supporters' offices? Obama
would do well to disassociate himself with these images. They serve
only to drive those on the right...farther right.

...for the amount he was favored on the loan. That's an effective way to defuse the
situation (though it would have been even better had he reached out
to a constituent in his area and help them refinance, since it's
their money he and Countrywide took in preference to his).

...spoken like a pilot for a major airline. That doesn't mean what he has to say
is without merit. Quite the contrary, the airlines shouldn't have
to operate at a loss. That doesn't make sense. I would just want
to ensure the airlines are operating efficiently before they jacked
prices up. As far as 'unbundling', some of it makes sense. I may
agree a lot more with the airlines unbundling if you were allowed
to bring your own water and food on board, instead of being a
captive audience with the choice either to not drink anything or
pay $4 for a can of soda. Even better: offer realistic prices.

...no moderately reasonable person could
actually believe that the United States is a
dictatorship, not when there are many examples of actual
dictatorships from North Korea to Zimbabwe to Venezuela.
The man who is quoted as once having said, "There is no human
problem which could not be solved if people would simply do as I
advise," thinks we live in a dictatorship where the head of state
controls everything. That's the last time I'll use that quote,
even in jest. To do so would be to honor
this...unreasonable...individual.

...good for the Irish! From the article
Ireland is the only country voting on the treaty in a referendum,
as it is required by law to do; the other 26 countries are
considering it through their legislatures and executives.
That's crap. And exactly why the Europeans give the idea of a
stronger union a "kick" when they can.

...my first thought on reading this was
that the Kelo decision was 'one of the worst' and to
wonder what McCain's position on that ruling was. Turns out, it's
something he's against it and has been mentioning the issue in his
campaign speeches. Good.
On Guantanamo, though the captured terrorists are not American citizens, I do
believe they are entitled to some sort of due process. Holding them
indefinitely is not the answer. Try them, sentence them, allow them
an appeal, then carry out the sentence.

The GOP is going to get it's ass kicked in November. The country is going to
elect Barrack Obama, a known liberal with an avowed platform of
change, as President of the United States. He is going to raise
corporate taxes which will increase the price of goods. He will
increase the size of the already bloated (vastly bloated) federal
government. He will enact socialist style programs and take the
country further left.
And the mob will love him for it.
UPDATE: Probably should say why I think that...bottom line is going
after the man's wife is dodging the larger issues our country is
facing. By concentrating on the shallow, the GOP is going to hand
the election to the DNC.

...that waived fees and automatically lowered the loan percentages.
The rest of us 'disgust Angelo.
Head. Is. Going. To. Explode.
I am currently talking to a company about refinancing our home; I
am having to jump through hoop after hoop after hoop to do this.
And I will have to pay out the nose for it.
Meanwhile, Dodd, Angelo, and Co. are out cavorting around having a
great time...walking on the backs of the Americans they purport to
be wanting to help.
This literally makes me sick.
