I would not delete them at all as long as they don't spam.

Plus our membership numbers will look higher if we keep them.  People are more likely to join if there are more mebers, it is just psychological since the majority are followers.

I will not keep them just to make our numbers look bigger, but I guess I don't have to delete them so soon.  Maybe 90 days is a good standard. That is, as long as we don't get spam.  The threat is that some spam bots will look back at places where they laid their seed after a certain number of days to see if we are paying attention. If that happens, I will shorten the time.

Hey all,
Just thought I'd write a brief something about the status of my experiment with generating income from this and FutureMillionaire. The project continues but has had mediocre results. Here're the sites I've used so far, a go/no-go rating and the pros/cons of each:

- PayPerPost: No-go. Though it's a legit site I have generated app. $145 dollars from, Google recently brought the smackdown on PPP users by reducing their PageRank's to zero. Fortunately, I evaded that fate. It's also "active" income you have to work for. I'd like to generate passive income. Another downside: payouts occur every 30 days.

- Smorty: Go. No smackdown from Google yet. Payouts occur every 7 days. Downside: the URLs are required to be permanent (unlike PPP in which you can remove them after 30 days). It's also active income. You have to research and write the posts. Upside: electrons take up very little space!

- LinkWorth: Go. CombatEffective is generating $28 dollars a month in passive income from one ad. If I can add a few more, these short ads will be a good, low-interference way to make some money. They also have a paid post option. Downside: payouts monthly. Upside: ads can be taken down when cancelled by either buyer or seller.

More to follow...

Rob has re-done the front page, with some new advertizing. Not sure what else, but I also see a link to his "wish list" at Amazon.  Kinda neet to help see what makes him tick.  Tongue

The lists of links along the left side continues to evolve, as some of this personal domains expire, and as he discovers new resources.

Guest book spammers have dropped off in recent weeks, but unfortunately that means we are not getting the publicity on other boards. I may begin agitaing again if I can find some boards with a moderate amount of traffic and simi-intellegent people. I will, however, munge the address this time.  Too much spam resulted last time I went over to sayanything.com
