(Just as a note, I disagree with the interpretation of each and every scripture quoted in the section on New Testament except Rom 13:1-5. How people can read the Bible and get things so wrong is - oh, wait, they only read a verse out of contex. No wonder they have so much trouble getting it right.)

The biggest arguement I have that the New Testament supports capitol punishment is the story of "the Thief on the Right." The theif on the right found salvation in Jesus, while he was dying on the cross. Jesus right then and there told him "this day you will be with me in paradise." Jesus still had the power over life and death at this point, and could have easily made the man disappear from that cross and appear whole, and healthy in Gaza (He did such with Phillip, in the book of Acts). But Jesus didn't interfere with the man dying (slowly, over the next 9 hours).

There are a few small hints at this subject throughout the NT, but this is what I feel is the most blatant.
