...here are some Muslims in America showing their support of the rights our country has given them.

Warning: if you have high blood pressure, you may not want to watch this clip. The intro above is slightly misleading.

Let me be the first to comment on my own post. Someone is inevitably going to say something about or to the effect of, "Why are you calling out the Muslims again?"

Because they are standing on a street corner, trampling our flag, denigrating our nation, and shouting "Allahu Akbar!"

Thank you. That is all.

great thing about the first amendment : ohthebill
Maybe you'll want to sign on to Hillary Clinton's proposed amendment to the constitution to ban flag burning.

...the burning of the flag. That'd be a restriction on free speech and wrong. Next, they'd be banning blogs.

Hopefully Not : TRex
Rob and I may disagree on this.

The great thing about the first amendment is you can trample on the Flag. Our state is not our religion.

And "the flag still stands for feedom," even when the particular use of that freedom makes me ill.

Pass that amendment and all this changes. I have many flags in my house. I will wave them while defending you against that monster from the "first church of hate" (Phelps). Pass that amendment and it will be a pity, but I will probably burn them, one and all.

(BTW - I thought is was an amendment against flag desicration?)

re: don't disagree : combatrob
I support their right to trample the flag, though I would trample a picture of Mohammed (PBUHPA) across the street from them in counter-protest. I might survive.

I think we're on the same page in that I don't support an amendment to ban the desicration or burning of the flag, either.

Unless you do, in which case, we are on different pages.

Why would you burn them if it passes? In protest?

agreed : TRex
I would also tralmple a picture of Mohammed. (What is PBUHPA ? )

I don't support the amendment in any form. That Amendment would make the flag a religious symbol - of our state religion. I will bow to no other god. If they make the flag their god, I will burn it.

To be clear. As long as I am not required to bow to another's god, I have no problem with them or their god. I am required to serve my country (actually, in as much as this is a free nation - my own religion requires me to serve my country). If they make the flag their god, then I would be force to serve their god - and I would have to rebel.

I have low blood presseure and can cope.

I couldn't help but notice that this histerical ignoramus was sounding like he was feelng threatened somehow yet he was surounded by peaceful people that probably hated what he was doing and promoting.

I like to take things to a logical conclusion if that is possible. This type of demonstration and rhetoric is getting more and more pronounced and the rebellion it calls for will sooner or later occur if unchallenged. At what point is it ok the simply beat the shit out of his like and not look like a violent hatemonger. It would shut him up. I could do it on an impulse. At what point does the man on the street that enforces domestic tranquility again become respected. This guy probably had a permit. Think about it. A local government giving a permit to someone that wants to provoke, call for rebellion and trample the Flag. Ring any bells, sound a little wacked out? Maybe a hint things are so far awry we just stand dumbfounded and shake our heads and think 'freedom of speech' OK! I think the Islam I am seeing is the most ignorant backwards hateful idealogy I have yet to be aware of. Sorry Bill, I really feel that strong enough to do something about it. But I am only a hamstrung white American that fears a prison full of my best friends. I have to wait for the anarchy.

Is that the limit of your understanding?
That is the fruit of liberal equivelence thinking. You can't yell fire in a crowd of people and you can't provoke and threaten us on our own soil. That bastard has no business being here and you'd have to be angry to see that you docile numbskull.

This guy is a threat to freedom of speech and if you cannot see that either you are a sad case indeed.

Couldn't seem to get a comment at your site MVRWC so it is here.

I respectfully disagree with the perspective that these morons are cowards. I wouldn't have the balls to go to another country and stand on a corner trampling their flag and accusing and threatening passerbys.

We are the cowards and it is so obvious it hurts.

Ouch. I think if he has such a problem with America, he should leave and go back to the cradle of hate from which his views were born but...he's American and the right to free speech, however repugnant, includes the right to protest and burn the flag. Again, if I were there, I would counterprotest with a large image of Mohammed and trample on it.

If he's American that is. If not, his visa should not be renewed and his activities ought to be evaluated as cause for possible deportation.

Sorry Rob and you are the better man here. If you weren't I'd be toast right now I'm sure. Even so, whats wrong with renouncing citizenships or exiling enemys and traitors. I guess words like 'reasonable', 'probable', 'American', 'truth', 'war', 'peace', 'traitor' have vague and diverse meaning in our Christial/Muslim/liberal/athiest/nihilist/adversarial culturalist/fad/more compassionate than God himself soceity. I guess everything depends upon what someones defination of the word 'is' is. And rightly so if we are to have some sembelence of equality (equivalence) in this Babylon.

This American experiment is now cultural splicing and unlike biology no benificial organism will result. Only a nihilist/capitolist could think we are on the right path.We are breeding and legitimizing hostitily. Google up 'The Tribes are Back' it is a good summery.

Re: no worries : Guest
Don't sweat it, DW. I understand exactly where you are coming from. Understand the second the deranged clown in the video crosses from speech to action, it's on.

There's nothing wrong with renouncing one's citizenship. If you're American, though, it'd be a stupid thing to do. As far as exiling traitors or enemies of the state, you could probably make a case, but there's a key point that would be have to be absolutely inviolable: who decides?

Speaking out is not treason, unless the deranged clown reveals something damaging to the security of our nation. Acting against the interests of the nation or pursuing it's violent overthrow is.

Your comments have a lot of merit; that is a very good point about words having different implications and meanings in our culture as opposed to others. It's a point I tried to make earlier with the republic/democracy post.

I hope you are wrong about the direction of our country, but I fear you are not.

That put things back into perspective for me, thanx.
