Mere words are not sufficient to express the disgust I have for the perpetrators of this horrible act. Only marginably less is my disgust for the crowd that stood by and did nothing.

The Killing of Atwar Bahjat via MudvilleGazette (h/t LGF)

There are monstrous forces at work in this world. To you I leave the spiritual side; my concern is the here and now and stopping animals like the men who did this. Not simply shutting them down. Prison and soft treatment is too kind a thing for Allahu Akbar Terrorist. True justice dictates he must be hunted down by men with guns and stopped: permanently.

Gotta bite my tongue here and simply say that I would have no interest in anything other than a simple bullet to the heads of these demons. I hate but have no interest in anything except ridding us all of these sociopaths.

Rob I apologize for my remarks to you and have to admit my stupidity in not even knowing I was responding to your comment. A don't agree with you but have much respect and if can figure out how to give me a cyber boot I will happily accept it.

I won't pretend it is in the Bible. It isn't, but I have always thought that the only thing nessasary for evil to suceed is for good men to do nothing.

People like that need to be terminated - and since the people of the neighborhood just stood by and let it happen, I would have no problems with exterminating the whole village.

Trex I commented elsewhere about a bold Iraqi soldier asking local victums why they did not fight the terrorists. My thoughts were that he had American support, and confidence in a vision for his country, a weapon, his back covered and he was trained, and his family was probably elsewhere in a safer district. Before the US went there who could fight? They are rightly afraid in their neighborhoods where no one see's what happens. Try busting a coke dealer here in our great country and see how fast you are left hanging alone by the police and see if any threats or intimidation you get are grounds for help. If they fight they had better be prepared for the same horors when they are left hangin alone. They don't have the witness protection program and look at their leadership. Corrruption and the enemy has from the start infiltrated the Iraqi army and police force. The Liberal prime directive and Islam won't allow us to do what is necessary.

Why are we so surprised by this killing? This has been going on in the Islamic world since the seventh century. And the Koran is full of tales of even more gruesome killings in the name of Allah.

when we are no longer surprised,
we have lost a valuable part of ourselves.

IT WAS A HOAX : ohthebill
The gruesome video reported by the Sunday Times to show the beheading of Iraqi journalist Atwar Bahjat is a cruel hoax; the video does depict an Islamic torture killing, but the victim is not Atwar Bahjat.

Rusty has the details: The Jawa Report: Atwar Bahjat Beheading Video a Hoax. (Warning: graphic images at bottom of page.)

The video actually shows the murder of a Nepalese man by the Army of Ansar al-Sunna in Iraq from August of 2004. The man was one of 12 victims executed by the terrorist organization—the other 11 were shot.

Does not matter : Guest
No matter who was the victim, the point is that this killing did happen and does happen.

Don't stop until you read the "Updates" at the bottom, and the follow-on section about "why do we show these images.

OhTheBill would like for you to ignore those little things called facts and thing all is well except for the 'bad ol USA' and 'bad ol bush' in running things here.

Whether the video was authentic footage (it was not) or a propaganda piece by those same people (it seems to be) is ultimately irrelavent. "True justice dictates he must be hunted down by men with guns and stopped: permanently."

I was just trying to correct an incorrect post, and trying to help the website's owner by letting him know that his story was innacurate. It seems sort of silly to have a "in memory of" Atwar Bahjat" icon on your website when it's been proven that she's still alive.

Thanks for the heads up, OhTheBill. I won't be removing the icon, though. The link you provided (did you read it?) says she was murdered in a cruel way but that the video was a hoax.
