It is admittedly very difficult to see passed the doom and gloom we are fed every day, but perhaps an understanding of the "why" we are fed that can help one see through it.

Non-issue of the day: did or did not McCain grab one of the Sandinistas in 1987? Answer: it doesn't matter, except that either McCain or Cochran is chanelling either Senator Clinton (making stuff up) or President Clinton (lying). In the end, though, it's simply politics as usual.

Another candidate for the death pool. This woman cut a child from the womb of his mother while she lived. I cannot think of a more cruel way to die than this, nor can I fathom how someone could do something like this.

 

Perhaps the worst thing of all is that this monster...this beast...will live another thirty or forty years as a ward of the state.

I've seen this post elsewhere, cited as a possible hoax. That's irrelevant to the reason I'm posting it here, though. Check out SA's comment thread - it's a pretty good sum up of the culture clash regarding the burqa. When a state has religious police that force women to comply with their restrictive dress code, there's no real choice. The liberal commenter has a good point about breast jobs in America, though they remain a much freer choice here (despite social pressures). You'll not be stoned for not getting a boob job. (Can't believe I just typed that).

I honestly didn't think this stuff went on anymore. I was going to say, "More power to them..."...actually, I posted that. I don't know that's the right answer, though, in light of much of the abuse that does happen (re: TheAgitator).

I think a general "Right on" is in order, though.
