Though some (Barney Frank) are objecting to this on the basis that the Supreme Court is the ultimate check on legislative power, I think it’s a fantastic idea. It would put each legislator on the record as having backed a bill according to a provision of the founding document. In other words, it would limit their weasel power…if only a little.
