This is the place to discuss tax theory, tax policy, federal taxes, international taxes, tax breaks for the rich, income tax, corporate tax, FAIR Tax, Flat Tax, etc.

It is not to discuss how to cheat on taxes, but discussion of legal loopholes is OK. Discussion of the theory of taxes are voluntary is not.

Remember, this is the place for THOUGHTFUL discussion, so please cite references when discussing laws, loopholes, or tax code. References are nice but not necessary when discussing tax theory.

If you think there might be some element in the tax code but cannot find a reference, say so, and ask if anyone can find it. Helping one another is not out of the question, but may require threads dedicated to those topics.
