…this guy is a hoot. He’s asking for a pass, or a break, on ethics violations. Who does he think he is, a member of Congress?
…the last four months have been the greatest of my life. Holding and caring for my daughter – my daughter – is an amazing joy and huge and great responsibility. It’s also one that takes up much – most – of my free time from the moment I walk in the door from work. Thus, the blog suffers. So be it. Know that it will not die, only be less “energetic” than before.
…I am not a smart man, but from what I have read and the few “numbers” I do know, I believe our country is headed toward fiscal catastrophe. I just don’t see how the debt levels we have, nationally and individually, are sustainable. Further, I don’t see how the public pensions are sustainable, without heavy taxation on existing workers. As a solution, that is not sustainable economically or philosophically. As this article highlights, the damning position the existing workforce will be/is in is that of paying for pensions they/we will never receive.
…I don’t actually blame the Senator for not wanting to pay exorbitant taxes on his boat. However, I do blame him for not doing something about it in reference to his position.

It’s not just the GOP, Mr. VP. Have you seen the 11 percent approval ratings for your ‘esteemed’ institution?
Rangel holds press conference
Rangel wants time. For your congress people to indict you means they have a preponderance of evidence they can’t safely ignore. You are out of time.
…I hope he gets elected. I want those in Washington to know Americans are fed up with the bullshit. I want them to know we’d rather have well meaning guys like Greene in office than professional politicians more in bed with Wall St than their wives.
