That she killed her little girl is not in doubt in my mind. That there wasn’t enough evidence to convict her is a tragedy.
The Vegas housing market is a fairy tale. The sales you see now are a matter of “belief” in spite of facts. If you buy, do so knowing you’ll see negative or no appreciation for 3 to 5 years; 2-3% appreciation at that point won’t even cover the initial closing costs.
I concur. Further, I think this thing is far from over. I don’t actually believe our country will recover from this, from the rule of law to the social fabric…both have been shattered.
As it should be. There was a time I believed in the invisible hand and in the free market, in the notion that corporations would do right by the people. That belief, like Santa Claus and the Tooth Fairy, was nothing more than a fairy tale.
The fraud perpetrated on the Court, Debtors, and trustee would be shocking if this Court had less experience concerning the conduct of mortgage servicers
So begins the Judge’s conclusion in one bankruptcy case concerning a clearly fraudulent mortgage servicer and owner. Well worth the read, via the NACA blog.
Still not a good market, folks. Unless you can tolerate further loss and/or are planning for the purchase to be your “forever” home, it is generally not a good time to buy.
Mr. Cohan believes Elizabeth Warren should give up and go back to Harvard, so someone more agreeable can chair the organization she’s putting together. The theory goes this would let the poor banks implement the change…because having agreeable people has worked so well to date.
Hello, world. What a month it’s been! We are all well, despite a couple of hospital visits and a bout with bronchitis (me) and bronchiolitis (little one). Add to this my trusty MacBook is dying – it has burned up two power supplies…and, well, it’s just not been conducive to blogging. I’d like to say that will change, but I can’t promise anything!
It sounds right to me, too. I think the implicit promise Mr. Reynold’s speaks of (or the author he linked to) extends to most education. Don’t get me wrong; I’ve been going to school for years and I’ve enjoyed it, but I’m in a different bracket w/the military paying for it.
